My front brakes squeak occasionally. Only at low speeds. I had had this issue with Brembos before on a Lancia Integrale I had but I did not expect it on the SS. Is anyone else having this issue?

I was waiting to see if this problem was going to come up on this car. I lived with it on my V though 2 sets of brakes and I ain't doin' it again. The SS Camaros have this squeaking coming from the rear brakes.

Hawk brake pads will fix that.

The thing you need to remember with the Brembo's is, don't baby them. If you use light pressure with them they will get glazed and squeal. If they get bad, do a couple hard stops, to knock the glaze off.

the brembo's are high performance brakes and in turn will give off more brake dust which causes the squeaking... nothing to worry about

Yes..Defin Brembo's like HARD Stops...I did that very thing and they stop sqeaking..

I have the same issue, but I noticed that I get break dust on the inside/outside of the rims quite often. Cleaning them regularly. The squeeking, as slingshot, toofastss and 1badss said, stopped if the Brembo's aren't babied. Has anybody found a good rim wax that keeps the break dust off?

Ours squeak also. Only at low speeds. Was doing this when we picked it up. I will ask the dealer about this.

Adams sealant and wax rock. Just need to stay on top of the dust, or try different pads.
Armorall will never touch my cars.

You can pull the pads and spray some anti squeal on the backs and reinstall them.

Yea mine squeak some at low speeds. Especially if I'm backing out of my garage or pulling in. I'm sure it will go away once the rotors and pads wear down a bit.

Could failure to properly bed the brembo brakes be part of the squeaking problem. Is everyone following the bedding procedure and is it vitally important? With any luck my SS (black, roof, spare) will be delivered in the next two weeks although we are predicted to get 6-12 inches of snow in the next week. Whatever!

No bedding necessary just use them real hard when they squeal and knock glaze off.

If anyone was wondering if cutting off the weights on the pad backing plate of the pad itself, in order to accommodate a smaller wheel would cause an noticeable increase in brake noise.....I can tell you the answer is an emphatic **** YES. Slow stop n go traffic brings out very loud, can hear with the windows up, squeals.

All..I had the sqeaky brake issue in the beginning (first 750 miles) but after several here on the Forum saying to apply serious pressure and use the Brembos like they are intended; after approx 500 additional miles that all went away..The only time now is when I've used them hard in traffic on a hot day but I keep in mind this is how performance brakes sound! Like others say just drive the car and use the brakes as they sure work good!..(I do notice though serious amounts of brake dust but that too is common for performance brakes!)..

Based on my Camaro SS they wear pretty good, I have 22K miles and still have half a pad left ...
