Ok, let me first start by saying I had no intention of purchasing an SS until 2015. Well I joined this forum and work for a Chevy dealer(mistake #1). The General Manager also let me take one home for the weekend(mistake #2). I have been trying to figure out how to afford 2 LS3 cars, since the Camaro isn't even a year old yet. The used car manager said hey post your daily driver on our website for sale and see what kind of attention it gets.
I've kind of had this backup plan that if it sells I will get our dealerships last '14 incoming which is white like my Malibu. Well It sold for more than both myself and the used car manager expected it to. For enough $ anything's for sale, right?

Instead of breaking even on that loan I came out ahead so I get to use a few grand towards the SS:biggrin:. Now the **** wait:bangheadonwall:

This car was built on Jan 16th 2014. It left Austraillia on Feb 11th. It was recieved in Benicia, CA on Sat the 29th of March. It was invoiced to my dealership yesterday and left by train yesterday. Hopefully not 3 months Z51anic:

You count the days from leaving a Au. till you see it and its going to be close to 90 days. I know that's not from when you bought it but that's the length of trip.

Why not see if there is one(that you like) at another Houston area dealer and do an inventory trade? If it has been sitting at a dealer for a while, they may want to swap it out.

He works at the dealer...they might frown on that. I, too, was considing purchasing from another dealer, depending on the deal I get.

I do work at the dealership and it helps them out more if I buy one allocated to them. Plus it comes right off the transport truck into my hands. No unknown test drives and I get to unwrap the plastic off the seats! :biggrin:
