Something to throw out of frustration from staring at a blowout and all you have is fix-a-flat.
I rarely get flat tires but had a nasty sidewall intrusion on my 1st G8 GXP. I mean from the time I suffered the puncture to flat tire was less than a mile. So I pull over off Milford Rd., open the trunk, and there sits the juice and an air pump. I'm looking at the puncture thinking no way this is going to work. I pump in the juice, fire the compressor, and then drive home. The puncture is so bad that the sealant leaks from the hole in the tire inside the wheel well in a nice little stripe. I order a new tire, have it changed the next day, and the sealant held the entire time allowing me to drive the car. It ain't what I call an elegant solution but by gosh the darn thing works! :eek:ccasion14:

As much as I would like to confirm this tool is for the muffler bearings, I can not. Even though it would give some people satisfaction to have something to throw at an appropriate time, it is not for this either.

Drum roll please... The vehicle may have a torx tool for use when replacing the front headlamp bulbs. This is a headlamp tool for removing the screws in the inner fender to gain access to some of the bulbs.

I do not think it will provide you much assistance with your "manual sunroof" :D.

I hope I was able to help clear this up.

Thanks Kelly....it wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't a mystery piece!

You said "May have". Can we get a confirmation?

Might have to turn this into a contest!

One more question about the "access" torx key. I see the one in the picture is on the top of the inflator kit, but if you have a full size spare, where is it located???

According to the parts diagram, it sits in about the same place on the jack kit.

Correct...you will need this tool or a Torx screw driver to remove the high/low/turn signal globes from under the wheel arch....the only globes you change from the engine bay are the parking lights.
It is easier to remove the wheel to gain access to the mudguard lining with the Torx tool.
I know as I upgraded the low beam light globes....I do not have the same lighting system as the SS....but is still the same procedure....on your drivers side in your SS and mine it says to remove the air cleaner element and the casing....that is BS.....you still have to gain access from under the mudguard lining....it is to difficult from the engine bay and bloody impossible.:smile
