Just passing on the info here.

Rydells in Northridge received one more SS last week. They now have 4 in stock. All 4 are roof + spare. The same three cars from over a month ago are still on the lot plus the new one. "red tag" sale has $1000 off each one. Sales guy said they would do $100 over invoice no problem. So Calif is not a good SS market....much more impressive to fellow douches to get an Audi A4 with 2.0 4cyl I guess.

Went for a test drive. Sales guy knew almost nothing about the car. Showed him the aluminum hood and trunk...he was clueless. Could not get the parallel parking feature to work, not sure if I was doing it right. Got to really romp on it a couple of times...honestly, not as fast as I thought.

Dang, there are people on this forum who have ordered and are waiting for probably every one of those cars. And if they're lucky they will pay MSRP.......
On a side note, my second job as a kid was a New Car Prep person at THAT dealership when it was Baher Chevrolet. You know; I washed them, took off the plastic, etc., and got them ready for the showroom/lot.

Seeing this bunch of cars just sitting makes my agony even more profound. This is what I have been trying to say about the marketing of these cars and about dealers wanting to fill THEIR lots rather than get these cars to us that ordered long ago and are still hoping and waitng for "that next ship". And there are just under 500 more off loading today.

I don't want to add to your pain, but, we have 3 of them(roofs, no spare). White, Black and Red. I'm told we had a Mystic Green one that was sold right of the truck. I never saw it. We have had these since 11/13/13.

We are Penske Chevrolet in Cerritos, CA. We just had a 72 hr sale this past weeked, had a lot of activity, but, the cars are still here. They told me they will deal on them. I'm waiting for GM to give some sort of program on them, which may happen in about 6 months if things keep going the way it is. That's what happened when I bought my STS-V and my Firehawk.

The only Mystic I know of in So Cal is at George Chevy in Bellflower…and it is still there. Never saw another one on the dealer locator unless it was sold 5 days before it arrived.

There are still 3 more SS's at Keyes in Van Nuys - about 5 miles away. I have about 25 to choose from in a 30 mile radius and there are more on their way in.

I agree with you - I think these are going to like a Volt in So. Calif. in a few months. They will be throwing $3000 in the trunk to move them. Too bad really. If they did a crappy subsidized lease like BMW or Audi does, they would move off the lots faster.

The sales guy knew absolutely nothing about the car as well and that is disappointing. He told me they sold 6 SS's already. Yeah, right. They have sold one…and it was white.

I checked my area in Maryland today and finally found a silver one and it is right around the corner from the office. I had ordered one back on Halloween with no word yet on a build date so now I get to take it home for Christmas.

The demand has not developed here in Maryland either, lots of Black ones sitting on the lots and a few Reds.

Merry Christmas!!

No advertising to general public just in car mags people off the street don't read car mags. This car is aimed at those readers, but they maybe stuck in a new car payment for a rear drive 6 cyl foreign car. My son-inlaw wants one but he's upside down in a Passat so he can't buy.

Too depressing to read this if the local Los Angeles dealers are going to start dropping prices and I jumped to soon.
Don't feel too bad, I would have done it too, If I had the money you all do(you who can do that, run out and get the 1st ones off the boat).:sarcasm: I just can't afford it right now. Later, the price should come down and my funds, down payment and such, will go up.

Beleive me, I would have, too. But, now is not the time.

I had them take a look at my trade, my credit and desired payment that I wanted and we couldn't get close enough yet. I didn't want the payment that was offered with my current situation. I didn't want to jump in now and be sorry 6 months later. The GSM told me to wait and there will probably be some back money available later. If nothing else, I'll have more money for a down payment at that time.

Willy, it will be soon enough for you and you will reap the benefit of the Los Angeles market's inability to even recognize this car for what it is. In the meantime, I am reminding myself that when I traded my last ride, it had just hit one of those expensive all-in services, and things were beginning to break. Therefore, I was going to pay regardless.

For all you non-Angelenos, bear in mind that this is the community that gave you such treasured entertainment as the Kardashians....) where people who can't drive to save their souls (e.g., the morons who make u-turns in a business district in the middle of the day from the parking lane) all drive BMWs, Audis and MBs. At times, it is like watching a parade of uber-fast cars (M3s, M5s, AMG of all types) driven 30 mph in a 35, and then turning right from the left turn lane because they feel like it.

I don't think I could bring myself to buy one that had been test driven prior to my purchase. I know how most drive a car on a test drive as I work at a Honda dealer here in Utah. I plan to Drive mine off the truck LOL

Don't forget the Prius!! Man... the Prius HAS to be a HARD car to drive! Because everyone that drives one can't drive worth a dam!

I did not mean to get anyone down that had already purchased one. Good for you if you did! Early adopters always pay the most, but get the "goodies" first.... Im just trying to point out to those in the market that there might be some slack soon. After all, So Cal is always first with the trends!!
