Found my car at a GM dealership right outside of Atlanta back last August, car was on the used lot, the dealership was using it as a fleet demonstrator. I dickered with the dealership for a good long time, I started with base fleet bid price against their ridiculous $30K offer, long story short I ended up paying $26,005 out the door. It had 9,300 miles on it and was a former GM corporate fleet demo vehicle that was upfitted. When they disposed of it, GM ran it through the dealer-only GM vehicle sale in Sarasota, FL. Maroone Chevrolet picked it up, titled it, and promptly consigned it to the dealer I purchased it from (Southtowne Motors, Newnan, GA). It was a good deal for me, since it already had a Florida title and I had a unassigned tag, I avoided both the impact fee and having to do the VIN verification for an out-of-state vehicle.
The car is very responsive. I've had a law enforcement background since the late 1970's, and without a doubt it's the ballsiest car I've driven in a fleet package. Only real complaints I have with it right now are the lack of after-market mods & parts (all things G8 do NOT fit this car), and some AFM-related drone in 4 cylinder mode with the SLP power-flo setup I have. A tune and killing the AFM mode will resolve that, just waiting for 36K to roll around before I really start into the heavy mods.
Oh, and the basic cheap Omega interior and apportionment sucks. There's not even any coat hooks in the back seat area. Everyone that watches cop shows knows the detectives always hang their suit jackets up in the back seat so they don't wrinkle, helps to intimidate the perps
