Ive got some Rockford 12" P2 punches dual box from the old cobalt. I personally want to get them wired to the SS. I'm a big metal guy and miss hearing those blast beats vibrate the seats. Everyone close to me says not to do it for differing reasons.

Anyone have any suggestions, would you if you had the box already? I am also worried about possible rattles from the vibration. In the cobalt the interior panel above the trunk and below the rear window vibrated and I had to add some foam underneath. Very easy fix but a fix none the less that could show up, and with a much more expensive car.

IMHO, the only way I'd add more bass is if it's vented in to the cabin.

I'm considering adding 2 8's or 10's. I have a TON of 3/4" MDF left over from a job and I'm going to build some boxes that will sit directly behind the back seat facing towards the truck and have a cut-out in them so you can still utilize the "escape hole"

HECK YEA!! Nothing wrong with a little BUMP in the TRUNK.

Of course if its like every other sedan you will probably benefit from using a little DYNOMAT in the back end.

Ive noticed my passenger front speaker grill rattling when I crank the stock system way up... annoys the crap out of me, so I just turn it up louder!

What I did in my G8 and will do in my SS is to mount 2 8" woofers in the rear deck - in my G8 I put a baby 100 w sub amp - seems like the SS may have enough power to drive them directly.

Still have all the room in the trunk and spare tire well.
