The chrome covering on my MT shift knob started to show small cracks in and around the indentations for the numbers and shift pattern. The small edges of the cracks would catch on the palm of my hand when grabbing the shift knob. Super annoying. Should have tried getting a replacement under warranty, but doubt it would have been successful.
