I was at Pocono Raceway yesterday and stopped by the Chevy hauler and asked about the release for this car and was told sometime in September. Take it for what you will but at least that's something.

Thanks, although I knew from a while ago September was the date, not sure how many others know this as well. Apparently 72 SS sedan's are in transport as we speak. Thankfully we're in August as just even more closer to finding out more and even seeing more on these cars

Sure wish our "Inside Guy" at the plant would speak up!! Hey Asylum, you out there??? Any SS's rollin out the door in mass quantities???? You can see the plant on Google Earth but like we know, it is not in real time. Anyone know someone in a spy agency working for the government??? I mean they are snooping on us all the time now. Maybe they could shift a satellite over there for a peak!!! Yeah, I got it real, real bad. I want my car!!!!

September reaffirmed

I'm posting on here because my dealership contact in the Las Vegas area told me that they're getting 3 SS in about a month or so (being September). But don't dare buy them all because one is for ME! :biggrin:haha.

chevypwr, apparently my contact told me that they are in production. Hopefully we do have some on the way already but I'm not holding my breath! By this point however, I suspect they are just ready to order and ship.

one thing i did read was chevrolet will give them a quality checkup before they are released to dealers, this will add to the transit time, would not want to be the QA guy at holden if the chev team find anything.

Thanks. My local dealer didn't know much more than I did. I just thought there would be more information about this car to the public than there already is.

either that or they dont want to tell you. sometimes though the sales people are just as clueless as we are even when the info is readily available to them

Most of the time those sales people have got no clue on what they are talking about. They make the best of brochure readers. You really have to find a good source in order to get some hard evidence or insider news. Just keep an ear out for now I guess.

Thanks Dominator8. Anything is god to br brouoght to the table right now big or small. so I guess it's safe to say most likely in half a months time before anything pops up for the SS..

I received an email from Balise Chevrolet in Springfield, Mass., on August 31st telling me they will be receiving one in 3 to 4 weeks, which means the end of September.
