Hey folks, just wanted to throw up a quick post letting you all know we joined you on the forum!! Our new Roto-Fab SS CAI is already deep into the R&D phase and we will have more details and pics posted soon. Those of you that had our G8 intake know our intake systems perform very well and look great on these cars. We implemented new design ideas and features on this intake system and are excited to bring you all the details when the time comes.

Best regards,
Jeremiah

If it's similar to the one on my LS3 In my Camaro you should see some gains without needing a tune. It ran great without a tune but then I added headers and got a custom tune. I would guess it would be similar for the SS.

Will these work in the 2011+ Caprice? Looking at the two engine bays the windshield fill is the same direction unlike the G8 that was the other way.

We will check the fit on the G8 and Caprice when the intake is finished. FYI our current G8 V8 intake fits the Caprice perfectly. The blue cap on the WW reservoir is capable of turning on the neck. That is why you will sometimes see them clocked in different positions both on the G8 and the Caprice.

Cool, thanks for the info on your current G8 version and checking on the Caprice for the new one.

Roto-Fab...Will you also consider designing an Engine Cover like those for the G8 as I'm sure there will be a few of us that would like some options if made available...Also like the idea of radiator cover etc...Let us know when available...

We will!! We are almost through with mock-up on our SS engine covers and as soon as we get a painted set I will post some pics. And the radiator will be in the works soon as well. We are planning on doing a complete under-hood package similar to those we offer for the Camaro and G8.

Thanks,
Jeremiah

Update:

Ok folks we have some more info/details to share with you! Those of you that are familiar with the Roto-Fab cold air intake systems know we have two basic air box designs. The aluminum air box, such as the one used on our Camaro intake system. And the rotationally molded plastic air box, such as the G8. Due to the complexity of the air box design, we chose the rotationally molded path. By going this route, we can match all contours, angles, and corners more accurately allowing us to provide an intake that fits the car as it should with NO modifications to your vehicle! With that said, the body of the mold is finished and the fit on the car is nothing less than perfect! We do still have a few more steps to cover before I will have a rough idea on pricing and availability.

Like all Roto-Fab intake systems, the SS intake is developed and produced in the USA!! Every step in the R&D process is handled in house. From initial design strategy, to mock-up, to production and shipping. All tooling and molds needed for each intake system are also designed and hand fabricated in house. Once complete, the SS system will be off to a few independent tuners for dyno testing and then we will share the results with you.

Jeremiah
