So I was thinking a gray powder coat on the stock rims on a back car, thoughts?

Looks good. Still thinking about doing this, I like the look of the rims but the polished is very hard to keep clean....and a little flashy.

Try plasti dipping black or anthracite gray. Either would look good and you can remove it if you don't like it.

I'd go Black on Black. Then black out all extraneous Chrome and you'll have one fine beast :D
black chrome rims are really the hot ticket...a buddy has those on his black C6 and they look great...shiny, but not chrome
Black chrome or semi-black chrome would probably look good.
