The first thing that hits me on the side view is the wheels need to be another size bigger. I'd like to see the wheel well filled a bit more. Has anyone upsized their tires and rims to 20's?

looking to get some new rims because i think the stock ones are ugly has anyone put rims on there SS yet other then the ones i put below
actually the stock wheels are not that bad. but i am not into the whole polished look for this style of car. the jeff gordon car wheels are ok. but that tacky time attack red line has to go! that is fad that was so 5 years ago.

the last one is just to gaudy for my taste... given they are from AU and on HSVs but IMO the style is much different there then it is here but IMO it doesn't flow with the car.

20x9.5 and 20x10s but car has to be lowered it will look stupid with a huge gap and big wheels IMO

The last photo in original post isn't HSV - it's SSV.
Here in Oz we have 3 levels of SS
Base SS, SSV (Pictured above, no Brembo's, hence different wheels)
& SSV Redline (Similar to export SS)

Black rims are also so 5 years ago Mavman.
no kidding would you like to insert more.... :sarcasm::sarcasm:

but redlines are older and fadish and are created by the sport compact market. sorry say they are worse then just black rims.... so i am presuming you like red lines on your wheels?

plus the the number one selling color for aftermarket wheels right now is black. so.... i guess silver wheels are so 30 years ago?

and for the record i don't like black wheels. ;)

I would think the CTS-V rims in Black would be an upgrade. They're a half inch wider than the SS wheels so you can rock a 255 up front and a 285 or 95 tire out back. 275 is too skinny for this beefy sedan.

I really like the look of your wheels but they sure are close to the wheel wells. Do they hit on bumps at speed?

fronts not at all and no work done to fenders at all!

rears would rub with nothing done to fender lips with these wheels. they had to be rolled. with anything more then a +40 i would say you would need to roll the fenders. i think you could get a 10.5 in the back no problem or a 10 with a 40-43 with a 295.

anyhow these offsets on these wheels are at the max without looking stupid and passing the fenders. hence these are flush but not flush definition of todays kids standards. ;) but with the way you see it now. no rubbing! ;) i was actually surprised!

My PBM SS did not have a spare tire. I would like to purchase an inexpensive aftermarket wheel for this purpose. I have checked out several wheel suppliers from various car magazines without success. I am in the Ft. Myers, Florida area. Any suggestions?
