i noticed my car was making a suspension groan.. then i noticed these red blocks on the front springs, my guess is they are shipping blocks? did the dealer forget to remove them during pre delivery? anyone?

CB750 advice is very sound, although it may seem a pain it is best to keep everything documented, take photographs as well to show spacers still inserted. Notify customer care here on the forums.
I think some butt is about to get kicked. You should ultimately be fine so long as GM look after you. any damage and I see it as Dealer responsibility. IMHO

What sort of driving have you been doing? highway, suburban? are the roads rough? if smooth roads hopefully there will be no damage but either way it shows corners were cut.
Tesla NEEDS to win!! Dealers have a lot of local political power and can keep states from acting in the consumers best interest. And with few exceptions dealers do almost nothing in the consumers best interest. I told the dealer I bought the car from exactly that. I wish I could buy a car directly from GM by just clicking on a few boxes. I know it is a pain in the a** but I would strongly recommend we all write our representatives urging them to protect Tesla's right to run their own business.
I don't think there will be an issue in Australia for Tesla setting up shop fronts in the malls etc. I can't fathom in 2014 the pure stupidity of opening up a market for cars like Tesla in this manner as it might force bricks and mortar dealers to rethink the way they do business in this 21st century.

Firstly, I am mad on all things Voltron so cool name. (Peter Cullen) is going to be here in Australia for Supernova convention :)

Have you removed the shipping blocks yet or are you making the dealer remove and document. Ensure it gets documented. If you really need peace of mind you can private message Chevrolet Customer Care (they have been very helpful with other forum members issues) here on the forum and they can start a case number for you and possibly follow up with the dealer. Because if they left yours in and sold other SS's they may need to follow up with other owners.

In theory there should be no damage done assuming reasonable roads. A thorough inspection should be done to ensure this.
it's on their check list to check for the red blocks.
Also, there's a sticker on the drivers side windscreen (they would have had to take that sticker off before you took delivery but obviously couldn't be bothered reading it) right in view when the car was driven so should be no excuses why they weren't removed.
