YES HE DID FORGET! They are to remove those along with the rear disc covers (I'm sure they must have removed those though?)

i nticed my car was making a suspension groan.. then i noticed these red blocks on the front springs, my guess is they are shipping blocks? did the dealer forget to remove them during pre delivery? anyone?
Yes.

Do not drive it except to the dealer.

If it was my car I would have it flatbedded back to the dealer at their expense of course.

It is imperative that they make a repair order stating groaning noise and failure to remove shipping blocks and the correct milage. I doubt they will but INSIST.

I would also PM Chevrolet Customer Care immediately telling them this so they can contact the dealer and document your cars history. This is important should future suspension problems crop up.

You will need the alignment checked immediately and the dealer will have to "eat it" because its not warranty.

The groaning concerns me it needs good check of the front suspension but I wouldn't trust the selling dealer much since they didn't bother to read the PDI bulletin on this new product.

Methinks you need to find a more on the ball dealer for service.

i wonder if the red blocks are easily removed? i don't have time to head to the dealer and wait till they remove them UGH!!
Hey you pretty much own them because they didn't even read the PDI instructions and GM doesn't like this stuff now!!

Have them flatbed it and bring a loaner to your location!

You really have them by the "you know whats" now.

They falsified the PDI checklist by checking off that they removed the shipping blocks ....

CB750 advice is very sound, although it may seem a pain it is best to keep everything documented, take photographs as well to show spacers still inserted. Notify customer care here on the forums.
I think some butt is about to get kicked. You should ultimately be fine so long as GM look after you. any damage and I see it as Dealer responsibility. IMHO

How many miles? Not that you shouldn't raise **** but I can't imagine it would have caused any significant damage.

Also, give the tire pressures a check while you're at it. However you have probably already seen them in the DIC.

The dealer left the shipping blocks on my car too, I noticed before I took delivery but it already had 17 miles to include the test drive. Dolts, they have a dang sheet that takes them thru step by step. Should I have gotten a copy of the PDI? I asked my dealer and they said they'd give it to me while doing paperwork but it didn't happen.

Totally different note- I removed the warning stickers from the sun visors, peeled off pretty easily using a hair dryer, but left a little residue. Not much, and still looks better than the yellow stickers. I tried using rubbing alcohol but it didn't do much, any suggestions on how to get the rest of the sticker residue off?

Search around on the G8 boards. There are a couple threads on the subject. Can't remember how they turned out.
