Much cleaner look! This or black would have been a much better launch look. I wouldn't kick silver out of bed, but this (red or black) would have been better.

silver aint a bad color. easy to maintain :D
Agreed, but on a sports sedan it can seem kind of bland until you do some modding to it. Also, I think silver always looks better in person than in pictures. For a preproduction car meant to capture attention and build anticipation for a model launch, I think the sportier colors would have done a better job of conveying the message of the new marque: especially when the C7 and new Camaro redesign were all featured in their respective shades of red.

AMAZING! Thanks for posting that picture, I'll have to see what this looks like in person. Trying to decide between red, black or silver.
Seeing this colour in real life it is awesome but I have never in the past been a fan of owning red due to the issues you stated.
With upkeep of the paint work there should be no issue. the VE red has held up well and I think this is an evolution of that red.
Black is always a winner, just a pain to keep[ clean.

Love the pictur btw thanks for posting it. THe SS looks ever so awesome in red but I am worried about the red fading over time from the uv rays. I would hate to own a pinkish SS down the road. Right now realistically thinking black for the SS.
I have a victory red 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Its still just as red as the day I purchased it. Modern paint doesn't fade like those old single stage paint jobs thanks to the new clear coats.

Black is a heck of a lot more difficult to keep clean and shows water spots much worse than red.
