My SS was delivered with two license plate screws in the console cup holder and a temporary cardboard tag adhered to the interior of the rear window. My permanent rear bumper tag won't be delivered for another two weeks.

I noticed the rear fascia has an array of tiny dimples as well as larger circular and square detents.

What is the function of the detents/dimples? Are they a guide for the proper positioning of the permanent plate and screws?

OMG "ADHERED" to the inside of the rear window???

Like taped of course sticking to the defrost and maybe radio antenna grid?

The rear tiny dimples are for drill position placement for all the different sizes of plates where the cars are sold .... even the 2 a couple inches form the edges of the recess for UK number plates!

I see none on the visible portion of the front for the front plate holder even though the instructions reference them.

Dealer used frog tape, carefully positioned away from grid, rather than using the self stick strip supplied with the temporary tag.

Thanks for the info on the dimples!
