Okay just would like to do some ground tracking sort of follow the train along. You know they have GPS trackers on trucks so why not rail cars oops that might be a home land security thing.Hey Doug, I know some of us do not log out, but we have 981 people on a Monday morning, of all mornings, poking around here. Yep it is kinda quiet but very informative. And if any one is interested, I just might have a lead on another shipment that is scheduled to leave the Outer Harbor MAYBE real soon. Stay tuned------Great things happen if you have patience.
That might not work because these cars are shipped from the factory in "Transport mode". That is a mode that the electrical system is placed in with a series of simple dashboard commands that shuts down all the onboard systems while the car is not running. It puts battery drain to a bare minimum of I believe only 4 milliamps. This would be useful for long periods of storage. This mode is not discussed in the owner's manual. Your dealer can help you with this. And the battery is in the trunk, left side behind a little door.I was thinking,, did yousmell smoke??? These SS's all have OnStar. That IS a GPS based locator. If you could somehow have your dealer activate the OnStar before the car starts it's journey, you could track it !!
:idisagree:Sorry but you'll be second, right behind me!:cheers:as soon as i find one for $35k! but seriously i don't need/want leather seats, heads-up display, lane departure warning, etc etc…. just a RWD V8 sedan. if they do in ’15 or ’16 i'll be the first on line
