I've seen a couple guys do their hoods, and when peeled off it left a stain on the clear coat that took months to get rid of. There are no issues with rims, bow ties and such ... Personally I would just use a piece of vinyl for the bow ties. Just be careful of spraying body panels.

Hey all,
Has anyone heard of this plastikote spray on alternative to black out kits? Supposedly if you mess up, you can just peel it off.
I saw it and wondered if it did any damage to the factory paint. My buddy has a camaro ss and is.about to use this product to black out his rims and badges. It's hard to believe that a five to six dollar can be this good. ...any thoughts?
