plastikote alternative

Hey all,
Has anyone heard of this plastikote spray on alternative to black out kits? Supposedly if you mess up, you can just peel it off.
I saw it and wondered if it did any damage to the factory paint. My buddy has a camaro ss and is.about to use this product to black out his rims and badges. It's hard to believe that a five to six dollar can be this good. ...any thoughts?
