PBM with 1LE Wheels

Just put on some 20x9/20x10 repro 1LE wheels with continental extreme contacts. 255/35 fronts, 285/30 rears. Everything clears, and the fronts do not rub! What do you guys think?

Not bad, I wondered what one would look like with black wheels. Need to know in case I end up with a black one. They seem to be piling up around here.
Looks good Breezy, I thought everyone might like to see what the factory wheels look like after powder coat.
The photo was taken before I did the holden swap. My SS is in the back.

The dealer did the powder coat and blacked out the bow ties for that customer.

I think I like the Black Factory wheels better.

What?! No tint on your car Rottster?
I would like to see a set of the 1LE or SS wheels in a semi-black chrome finish. I think some of the SS wheels came in that finish, just trying to find them.

Any noticeable weight difference from the original wheels to the 1LE's?

Not totally sure. If I'd have been thinking I'd have weighed them at work while we were doing the install. Steering still feels sharp, and it could have been my imagination but the ride seemed a little smoother on the way home tonight.

The standard wheel for a 10-12 SS/RS was a "midnight silver" finish, which is probably what you're thinking of. If I could have found these in black chrome I'd have gladly gone that route. These were also available in gloss black. Picked them up on eBay for $1000 shipped.

Yes, it is tinted now.

I know it is hard to see but the morning after the tint job it snowed. That's the latest photo I have.

Not sure about the knockoffs, but the OEM wheels are 27# front and around 29# rear plus the tires ...

Good find on ebay. You could always have them done in black chrome in the future to change the look.
Looks great Breezyss, what's next?
I like the blacked out bow tie, is there a kit for it or how do you do it?

Next is replacing all the chrome with the trim packages from CP. Body shop friend is going to paint some replacement bowties black with red outline here soon also.

Then of course intake, exhaust, repossessing my intune from my brother, etc.
Not too bad Brezzy. The wheel color does dissappear too easily. I'd have opted for more contrast.

The offset looks a little off. Do you have a down the side pic?

I'll post a couple tomorrow. Off work so I'll get it cleaned up since we had rain/sleet this morning. The wheels are 0.5" wider front and rear, so it fills up the wheel well but doesn't stick out past the fender lip. I noticed after looking at that pic I posted that the stance looks way different than in person

I thought I saw on a different thread that splash guards were available through Holden accessories? I think it might be necessary now, at least on the front.

I think the black wheels only look right if all of the chrome on the car has been blacked out. JMO
