I haven't seen any images showing a Holden front badge posted yet so here's mine. I have the front and rear badges done, wheel caps and black vents (not part of the conversion, just my preference). I'm leaving the SS trunk logo alone for now, but I do have the SS-V Redline badge that I may swap later. My main goal was to replace the Chevy Bowtie on the grill and trunk.

I love seeing all the posts showing what everyone else is doing with their cars!

I ordered the same parts from Crazy Paul last week. Would you tell us about the grill install. Any special tools needed? Any tabs break off?

I wasn't comfortable trying it on my own so I took it to a local body shop. They said the bumper needed to come off for the install. I snapped a picture of it on the lift that shows the bumper removed while they installed it.

Love it! I would do the same thing. Any comments or questions from anyone? Any pics of the rear?

Sure, it didn't come out that great so I didn't include it originally. I drove it straight to the garage after the installation, I probably won't drive it much until the weather gets warmer. When I filled it up this morning I did have an "it's just an SS" conversation with the gas station attendant when he filled the tank (we aren't allowed to pump our own gas in NJ).

Just noticed that your SS has a Pinstripe?

The car had it there when it was on the showroom floor so I just assumed it was standard since the salespeople never mentioned it in their pitch. I had never really noticed it until you mentioned it and the dealership will be removing it if it isn't standard. I have not had a good experience with this dealership. I met a few truly odious people that I couldn't believe were allowed to represent Chevrolet. The general manager raised his voice and prodded me like I was a child when I simply wanted to discuss price, he very nearly helped me decide to buy a BMW or a CTS-V. I'm glad I did stick with the SS, but I've never experienced being yelled at and belittled by someone who was trying to get me to spend 50K. The survey I just completed allowed me to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment I received and that I would never return or recommend them to anyone. The topic of my purchase doesn't take much to get me to become suddenly talkative, which is something I am definitely not.

Here is an image of the car on the showroom floor, with pinstripe, now that I know it shouldn't be there it is all I can think about. :) I don't mean to have such a strong reaction to your comment, but the experience I had buying my SS was the worst car buying experience of my life. Chevy Customer Care, feel free to PM me and I'll give you any specifics you'd like.

Nexus7K. As I'm from Australia, its already very cool to see the Commodore in the US, but to see an owner take the trouble to put the Holden badges back on the car, thats well…. just excellent.

Now that GM has decided to basically destroy Holden and their latest crass marketing exercise has gone over with punters here like a lead balloon, it wouldn't surprise me if the Holden badge disappears altogether not long after these cars are finished being made in 2017.

It will be nice to know at least one Holden is still driving around the US with the badges that say much about its heritage and reminds us of the former GM-Holden employees who helped design it and build it.

Its a great car. I hope you have many safe and enjoyable miles with her.

Car looks great with the Holden badges. That's really going to throw folks for a loop.
