Our new Red Hot 2 SS is still in California stuck in quality control. It arrived a few weeks ago and was pulled for quality checks. How long could it possibly take? We are impatiently waiting. :(
If it was in the first load I'd get on my dealer PDQ. Not the salesman; the OWNER or general mgr/new car manager and have them make a few phone calls to find out why it has not shipped out, what is wrong with it/what is being repaired!

Now is the time to act because if it hasn't been released there is probably something more than minor amiss or a problem getting parts airfreighted from Australia.

If it's a major repair or paintwork I'd scream for a different one ... it can be done by the right people.

I agree, PDQ.
Years ago I bought a new Alfa which was delivered a couple of weeks after the date promised. 11 months later it caught fire, just after I had picked it up from a service for strong gas smells in the cabin.
My insurance company called me in and demanded to know why I hadn't listed a previous accident in my claim. Except I hadn't had an accident. This is why my car was delivered late, Alfa smashed it themselves before delivery, left all the damage as is, and replaced the panel.
Don't let this be your car!

I am so sorry that your SS is not home yet! I do know that we want her to be perfect for you.

I would like to check on her for you, do you have a VIN or order number?

Thanks bp!

Thanks for all of the helpful ideas. I have been working with the inventory control/new car manager and he's been making phone calls to find out the hold up. I am confident he's doing the best he can. I done business with this dealership for over 6 years and they've been great on every deal I've done there.

Customer care contacted me to let me know they were looking after you and wanted to have the most accurate info they could get for you. I don't know what thew hold up was as I didn't ask.
I am just happy that you got everything sorted :)

And a big thank you to our Customer Care Team for putting in the work for all our members. :3tens:

Well I was delayed a day getting home but the wait was worth it. We picked up our new SS today. What a fantastic car. I felt the same way when I picked up my 2010 Camaro SS 4 years ago. It's called permagrin. You just can't stop smiling, whether looking at the car, sitting in it or driving down the road. Just couple of quick pics.It looks good parked next to my Camaro SS.
