Hi y'all,

Today Jackie and I were lucky enough to be invited to test drive the new 2014 SS!

We had an AWESOME time! Our host was very gracious and spent a lot of time in the car with us. The ride was incredibly smooth but I could feel the power of the LS3. It was raining, the roads were wet and I was at work so I did not get on it. I really enjoyed myself, every mile!

The SS comes standard with so many features which just blow my mind. The SS actually chose her own parking spot to parallel park and then parked, with only my assistance on the brake!! It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen!!! :eek:mg:
The new SS is absolutely beautiful inside and out! She handles like a dream and with the LS3 powering this lady, we are all in for a treat!

The pictures below were taken inside because it was raining and we did not want to get wet. Our photographer wanted to say "Hello, to Headrat." They were lunch buddies.

Miles of smiles,

Kelly J.

Hey Jackie and Kelly, Yep, It was wonderful meeting Robin and Brad!! I bet your 'host' was Robin?? She is real sweet and what great knowledge she has about the car!!! I was so excited at the lunch just talking to everyone that I forgot to get a picture of the whole group. The guys from Holden where great. Maybe someday we could all get together. I am expecting my Silver SS fairly soon, Hopefully before Christmas. Keep up the great work and by the way, has the "tracking" system on the SS's been ironed out??? I have all kinds of conflicting info on mine. Just waitng for a phone call from the dealer or whomever!! Give Robin a hug for me!!! I guess my cover has been blown now. LOL Oh well LOL

My heart was pounding the whole ride. It was an adrenaline rush for me. The feeling of having your hands on the wheel of such a powerful, beautiful car is awesome. Some of the features that I loved were the HUD (Heads Up Display) which can display different information such as current speed on the windshield. I also loved the fact that the car can perfectly parallel park itself. That was super cool! There were tons of other features such as the rain sensor wipers that make for a much safer and relaxed driving experience. It was a very exciting experience. Thanks for all of the compliments too!

Hopefully we spot some ladies driving the SS on the road and even some on this forum that are owners. But you two are probably the first ladies to get behind the wheel of one!

Jackie and I got very special treatment yesterday! I will pass along the "Thanks and Hello's".

I would love to have the SS in my garage! She is absolutely amazing and fun to drive. No burn outs, I was at work, remember! ;)

I cannot wait to read y'alls write ups when you get behind the wheel!

One more thing, ask your higher ups where the Homelink went to. Or why it's missing.

Not trying to be negative all the time, I really do appreciate the info and service you both are bringing to the board. Never seen "Customer Service" of any kind on any other auto forum that I have been on.

Thanks everyone!

We really appreciate all the great comments.

Daniel, we would love to visit Australia! Both Jackie and I are avid travelers, fingers crossed!

I see there are multiple requests for a blue exterior color. I guess I should make a note of this and let some important people know. ;) Consider it done!

I will also make a note about the Homelink system and see if I can get any information for you, PMD.

Have a wonderful day,

Would like to know about using another car lines sunvisor with the Homelink or Lear system built in Impala or Camaro or truck if they look close enough to the SS's.

I bought a Cadillac one from Ebay and installed it in my Colorado. It works nicely but in my case, there are a lot of "guts" that wouldn't squeeze into a sun-visor. Are those Sun-visor versions all self contained aside from a power wire? If so, that WOULD be a nice swap if it matched!
