So I noticed that orders for the 2014 SS closed around Dec 12 this year. But what I haven't been able to find is when did they first open that order window up? What month were you able to first order your SS?

Also do you think that it will be the same date in 2014 for the 2015 orders?

Tried to find that out myself with no luck. I placed my order about a week before the books closed for 2014. My guess is May at the earliest and more than likely into the June/July timeframe before the dealers get the order guide. I simply couldn't wait for hopefully a blue color and M6...

dz28 -- I'm at 3300 on HW w/o roof or spare (as of 1/22/14). Do you think ours will be built before the end of this model run? I haven't been able to get an answer on that as yet. Have a couple of feelers out, but getting a little worried by lack of word.

Mine was at 3300 the end of January and I pinged my dealer yesterday to see if it had moved along. I have every bit of confidence our orders will be built. As soon as I hear 3450 status I'll pass it along! I may be able to find some at GM who can confirm but the dealer has been pretty good so far keeping me updated.

With such low numbers do you think the 2015's will be on sale here in the fall like most everyone else's lineup? It sounds like the 2014 was not available at dealers until late November from what I've seen on here.

I'm looking at an August/Sept purchase so not sure if I should be looking at a 2015 or not. If I go that route that means buying a car that's gonna spend the winter in the garage. Not sure if I have enough will power to do that.

If they allow ordering in April or early May you are still looking late Sept. Or early Oct. the shipping is what's killing the arrivals. Mine off line Aug. 30, ordered June 5th, then leave AU Sept. 6th arrive us Oct. and got to me in Ga Nov. 14th.

Our Mystic SS (roof & spare) arrived in Benicia on Fri 1/17, aboard the Curitiba. Headrat & myself were there. It was then at the dealer, in San Leandro, CA, on Mon 1/20, really amazing!

We picked the car up yesterday & got home just before it started raining. I know we really need the rain. It's been dry here forever but then it starts raining the day we buy the car.LOL Really hard but don't want to drive it until the rain stops. Have to go out to the garage about every 15 mins & just smile.LOL

To add to my previous post order places June 5th production began on Aug. 15th off line Aug 30th. On my vin plate under the hood next to air cleaner it's date Aug. 13th and tag on c pillar reads the same.

That stands for 2013, not for the 13th. The GTO's and G8's used these same style of date stamps.
