Hello ya'll,

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Got mine last Saturday. PBM just like my old 2006 goat (traded it in 2012).

Love the car.

I think I saw TexSS buying his when we were test driving one of the SS's on the lot.

Mine only has the sunroof, no full size spare (which I immediately regretted a little after signing the papers, oh well). Still love the car though.

A bit of mixed feelings though with the dealer. Got the paperwork in the mail today and need to go visit them tomorrow. I swear I looked over the sales contract with a fine tooth comb, but when I got the papers today I noticed the bastards have a $1986.12 "theftguard" rolled in the car price. Bastards. I have no relocation of it and both me and my wife looked it through.

Mixed feelings, love the car, but I feel like punching their finance guy (of course I wouldn't). Again, I realize I'm stupid for falling for the scam (not even sure if I did or not), although I didn't realize it at the time. I also clearly recall it wasn't on the paper, but who am I to say, as it's my signature on the page. Tomorrow will tell how pissed I am when I go talk to them about it. Not much I can do. There is no worse feeling than being happy and very angry and sad at the same time.

So hows ya'll's day going?

I saw you taking it out for a test drive when i was messing with OnStar. Congrats!
Thanks! We spent a good deal of time playing with the parking aid.
I didn't end up buying the car I test drove though. That thing had too much brake dust on the wheels and no sunroof.

Congrats & welcome aboard! Good luck with your dealer visit tomorrow.

Mike
Thanks! I already know how it's going to go. Blood pressures thought the roof
Here's hoping they value customers.

Oh and before I almost forget. For the Houstonians;

We're probably going to HDP's and LMR's dyno day on the 22nd most likely. I don't know if I can get there early enough to get in line to dyno the thing, but it's only $40 for 2 pulls.

What dealership did you go to?

Crisis,
Congrats And welcome to the Forum... I truly understand Your feelings
Towards the finance manager and the mixed emotions. I guess it's common place for customers to walk in and drop $47k plus on cars, I just wasn't aware how common.
I received better treatment buying cars half the price. I still have
Moments when I dwell on that experience and think..... "I should've bought another Cadillac." Then I sit in my SS(the weather here is bad) and begin to Smile again....

I don't want to say before I talk to them first.

If this was about $200 I could laugh it off and just blame my ignorance. But this is ridiculous. I started missing my Buick dealer already, everything went smooth as silk with no surprises. Seems like one experience made me pretty gullible.

Thanks for the kind words.
It's surprising that with something this expensive (only the vettes costing more) they would have the audacity to pull that ****.
If I don't get a penny back, mine was still around MSRP, but the price is the price and no window etching or anything was ever discussed. And like I said, I wouldn't care for $200-$500, chalk that up to ignorance I guess. The other thing I didn't get when I left the dealership was a copy of the bill of sale / Sales agreement (stoopid on my part), that I got today.
I just don't know how they can treat people like that and assume that there is no recourse for something like that. The sales contract I have right now doesn't have a contract number either, that seems odd, nor did they sign it, but all the other papers are signed by their rep.

I was there that day and they didnt do that to me. Hopefully it was a mistake and they make it good.
Yup. I'm sure it was just an oversight or the financial managers "playday", who knows.

I went to visit them today and talked to my sales guy and their Finance People. All is good. They apologized for the inconvenience and the sales person acknowledged right of the bat the charge was wrong.
I got the financial side fixed and am happy how they handled it, so I didn't start demanding explanations. Lesson learned and all turned out just dandy.

So now I feel great. It's good to see honest folks, because honestly they really had no legal reason to help me out. Good to see they value customers.

Another one in Houston! Dang! I'm a few inches from pulling the trigger on ours in the showroom, but I don't know about having 2 V8 gas bills, car payments and insurance payments. I got my 1LE appraised and I laughed, and I work here at the dealer. The only logical (or illogical) thing would be to get rid of the Malibu.

Congrats on your new Sedan. I think I'm going to LMR too, cause I've only ever had the Camaro on a Mustang Dyno. I wanna see what the dynojet does.

Holdens seem to be popular in Texas for some reason.
Same thing with the new Goats. Goatfest was amazing every year I attended with a pretty good amount of people showing up. Last time it was a bit quiet, but still a great group of folks showed up and we had a blast (didn't have the goat anymore at that point, still went). I wouldn't be surprised if part of them migrate to the SS side.
