I've toyed with the idea of simply inventing a (non-existent) car model sold by Chevrolet called the "Justan", and telling people (lying) that that's what it is. Seems a lot easier for most to get their minds around the idea that it is (after all) a "Justan SS". :grin

I get this ALL THE TIME but I have my routine down solid. After people finally except that the car is really an Australian Commodore Redline SSV I can hear their brain gears grinding when I explain that all the stuff in and on the car is standard!!!All I hear is "you mean ALL of that is standard, it only comes from the factory with all that on it?!?!?!?".

There are many older couples in my area,and as they walk by and see me fooling with the car I often hear, "we like your new Buick". Hum...no, it is a Holden/Chevy SS...

I've been here and then sometimes they ask, then why it left-hand drive? I tell them, "limited production run so American executives could evaluate it as a platform in the US. Lol. So cruel.
