Finally broke down and created a winter set up for the SS. Got a great deal on a full set of factory rims with very little road rash, thanks "g.rett"!
Brought them to Alloy Wheel Repair specialists here in Shoreview MN. Beautiful job! Took about a week to strip, repair and glossy black Powdercoat them with a red stripe around the perimeter. I installed the red lion center caps.
Had new Continental Extreme Contact DSW 06 + installed at the same time, only 50 miles so far but very quiet like them as much as the Continental Extreme Contact DSW 2019 model with 5000 miles I took off that will be my summer set up. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the input. Never been a big fan of full-on winter tires, too loud and don't feel the cost benefit is there. I've been driving in snow my whole life in many RWD cars, I try to apply some common sense and stay off the roads in the worst of it. What is that maybe 10 days a year I have to take my wife's AWD Equinox? The secret is really increasing stopping distance. Been through two winters on these other Continentals with no issues thought they were pretty good and of course you have to admit this car is amazing in any weather!

Is the red stripe vinyl or powder?
Powder. It sits up a little proud. I'm having a set of OEM center caps painted glossy black to match so the red lions can go back in the other rims for summer. I'm also contemplating getting a set of the black lions I've seen for these.
