I'm not sure carbon fiber body mods can ever be tasteful. The hood and trunk are already aluminum as it is. I like the wheels but IMO you've lowered it a bit too much and have lost sight of functional.

Just my honest input.

everyone has their taste, i can respect that. but stock IMO is boring. you sound like a keep it stock kinda of guy... ;) if i wanted stock i'd buy a honda. ;)

carbon fiber not tasteful? so i guess you don't like the new C7 Z06 or the Camaro ZL1 because they have carbon fiber all over the car... right? if not, then i understand where you are coming from and will leave it at that. ;) and sorry to say not all the carbon fiber parts on the C7 aren't anything about weight savings.... a lot of it is about looks.

put it this way i do carbon fiber personally. yes it can be over done. however if i over did my cars they would have never be in a magazine. hence this car will when it is done, just as my others have been before. for the parts i design, i make some in fiberglass for people whom do not like carbon because i do understand that people just don't it. but sorry to say i sell 25 carbon fiber parts to every 1 fiberglass one. that tells you a lot. also i am not sure if you know there are many different weaves of carbon fiber. personally the Jeff Gordon SS carbon fiber was hideous way too large a weave! i use a 1x1 weave that is almost unnoticeable until it part is in high sun or until you come right up to it.

not sure what you mean that i have lost site of functional. i been driving this car for the last three weeks as a daily driver. seems functional to me. H&R has one of the best ride coilover systems out there for that exact purpose of a nice ride because of a progressive spring along with perfect dampening. it doesn't rub and rides actually softer then stock on normal driving because of that "Progressive Spring" and handles about 10 times better then stock! so i have to say 100% functional to me. personally the SS Stock looks like it is sitting on a set of HighJacker Air shocks from a "hot rod" from the 1970's. just being honest here. then again i don't live in Hawaii and drive though Waipahu or Wahiawa. maybe then i could see it being an issue with pot holes. ;)

back to the carbon fiber topic.... the car in the photos below were featured in three magazines. it has a decent amount of carbon fiber goods on it. if it was distasteful... trust me they wouldn't have even given the car a second look. you probably don't like the wheels and it probably sits too low for your "taste". but obviously i am doing something right.

this customer of mine below also runs my carbon fiber parts as well. distasteful? i would have to disagree.

as you can tell in this photo the carbon is noticeable but not over bearing.

anyhow i do not expect for you to change your mind... though i have many! ;) but IMO IT CAN BE DONE TASTEFULLY if done right!

Car is looking killer. Did you have to roll the rear fenders?
fronts no. rears yes with that lower offset. probably could go to a 40 or better 45 or so and get away with no roll but you would not get a lip or concave type of look.
