Hey guys,been waiting for this car for awhile.Here in New York,Long Island, my local dealers have no info or a clue about anything about this car.I'm glad I found this forum,I hope they arrive soon as I need a new car soon.I hope they don't do the usual around here and price gouge the **** out of this car and make you go in another direction.

Welcome Spinningwheel!! The dealer I chose here in Northern part of CA. is not marking up the '14 Vette. The end of June they had 14 special ordered. They assured me my SS will not be marked up as it is a special order. And their allocation is only for three SS's.

G'day and welcome, I reckon that there are now a few guys here with orders that when they pick up and finalise pricing you should be able to use the actual price as a bit of ammo to get a dealer to play ball on not gouging the soul out of this thing.

As 1KRider has said and other members too, You can buy from any dealer who is willing to sell and get a courtesy delivery. I'll admit i'm not familiar with the sales side in the US but similar happens in Aus.

I found a dealer who can organise for me to pick up a car interstate and they'll arrange flights etc. Or for a fee have the car delivered to my driveway. I basically bought my last car like that but couldn't wait and picked my car up from the local transport yard with a temporary permit.

True. That is also what I'm hoping. My dealer is not letting me order one but I am putting a deposit down on one. It doesn't guarantee the price but I'm hoping with the relationship we have built, they will let it go at MSRP.

Thanks for the welcome guys.Some where on this site I found all the RPO codes,equipment groups,specs and updates,printed them and went out to the dealers.Just got back from my local Chevy dealers and I have more info than they do on this car.They're more interested in selling Volts than talking about this car,so i have to come up with a new plan that doesn't have a five month wait.It has to be rear wheel drive,have four doors and have V8 power,so where does that leave me.CTS v, expensive,Chrysler SRT8,never been down that road or something Euro,expensive.I was all excited about this car from reading about it all year and now I'm bummed out not knowing when you can ever get one.Maybe some other time when their more available.I hope someone takes delivery soon,I'd like to see real pics and real pricing,

yeah i really wanted an SS. my cousin actually worked at 112 Chevy said it would be near impossible to get one so i got a Charger R/T for almost half the price, 25k. didn't even buy off the lot, ordered one and took delivery in 29 days. couldn't be happier, maybe i'll try again for an SS in a year or two when things are less crazy

ATS-V is also coming down the pipe.. you considered trying another Chevy dealer? When you turn down the Volt tell the dealer you just saved their company $40K... kills me, they produce the piece of wood at a cost to them of $80K, then turn around and sell it at $40K...

although it costs them double of what it sells for, it is the cost of being unique and the process of slowly expanding on something game changing.

it's just too bad tesla seems to be a step ahead

Yeah it looks like I'll have to get something else,can't wait that long.Going to look at some leftover CTS V's?That was a good deal you got on the Charger,which dealer did you use?Also what's involved in posting pics on this forum,do you need a certain amount of posts,I tried it didn't work.Thanks.

No you don't just click the picture icon post the url link. but right click on your mouse first and copy image location.
