Yep good featureI was driving down a six lane road near my house, when all of a sudden MYLYNK screen starts beeping?...To my surprise letting me know there was a video camera ahead...Yep, at the intersection...
Does it matter which screen you are on?
All...It also alets you to School Crossings, Freeway Cameras to monitor traffic, Speed Limit signs, etc...The camera sees the reflective signsetc...Very useful and worth every penny...Just need to figure out how to install Radar & Laser using the camera...LOL...In addition to the camera alerts (which go off for toll Lane sensors as well) I've gotten the alerts for missing kids and weather advisories. Those can be adjusted in the settings menu.
My dealer knew about this...the first time it happened i called my salesman and he told me about itInteresting. To bad the dealers do not know all the features that are on or off the SS. Thxs for the post.
Speed limit data (and all the other stuff being mentioned) is actually in the nav database unlike other gm systems ie Opel that used camera recognition. The camera in this application is strictly for lane delarture and collision warningAll...It also alets you to School Crossings, Freeway Cameras to monitor traffic, Speed Limit signs, etc...The camera sees the reflective signsetc...Very useful and worth every penny...Just need to figure out how to install Radar & Laser using the camera...LOL...
I think these other alerts are add-ons to SiriusXM and will cost extra when your trial subscription runs out.In addition to the camera alerts (which go off for toll Lane sensors as well) I've gotten the alerts for missing kids and weather advisories. Those can be adjusted in the settings menu.
Yup those come in over xm; good catch didn't see that one!I think these other alerts are add-ons to SiriusXM and will cost extra when your trial subscription runs out.
BMW have this tech here and had to turn it off because of the constantly changing speed limits, and our mobile cameras are hidden inside cars parked on the side of the road, 3 km/h over and snap the owner gets hit with a fine and demerits, if you drive 5~10 over you spend more time looking for cameras than danger signs..The camera sees the reflective signsetc...Very useful and worth every penny.
It's in the navigation settings I think. I did find where to turn it off but don't remember. On certain routes I take that I know well I find the 'camera detected' beeping annoying. Anyone know how to turn off the feature? Did not see in the settings. Thanks.
