Anyone else experience MyLink freezing while playing off an iPhone between a minute to a minute and a half on the first song?

Does it both on USB and Bluetooth streaming. Says Indexing but song doesnt play over the speakers. And the progress bar is frozen. The USB icon grays out. But if you look at the iPhone it shows the song still playing and the progress bar is moving.

I have to reset the iPhone to get it to work. Sometimes. I have over 5000 songs so maybe thats messin with the indexing or Gracenote.

Dropped it at Parkway Chevy to get my wheels black and told David about it. He said he had a woman with a Camaro havin the same problem but they couldnt reproduce it.

Anyone??

Only apple product i have is an old ipod 60GB that I have attached to the USB port. It works, but it does have to index every time I turn the car on which really sucks. However, I have not experienced your issue.

I would say it has to do with the amount of music and available memory in the system.

I was thinking the same as i don't believe our units have any internal storage. I am assuming the same happens when you plug a USB stick. Has anyone tried to play FLAC files yet? I'll try tomorrow.

I have had this happen once, where it was saying indexing and it froze for about 2 minutes. I had to unplug my iPhone and shut off the Radio, and then turn it back on & then plug in my iPhone again.

Won't work believe someone else tried it 32 gig thumb drive in the other format not FLAC.

yes i have had it freeze. it seems to happen when going between apps too fast.

when i mean apps i mean the ones on the radio not the phone. so if i have say pandora running and i swap it between the radio or say XM and swap though them too fast with out letting pandora load or just the music though blue tooth it seems to want to freeze up. did it to me when i was running between that with the nav on as well.

Hmmm. David at Parkway said he could only get Pandora to work and not his songs on his iPhone 5. And his service guy could get everything to work with his iPhone 5. So they kicked it up the chain. Guess we'll see what Chevy has to say.

All..sometimes MyLink just freezes period..I've had it freeze while backing (using the rear camera) along with the radio trying to sync (via bluetooth) to my IPhone 4S..Must be something GM engineers can address or update..(I've also searched and the radio says I have the most recent update/version..

Does it seem like the iphones are the ones with problems? I haven't had these issues yet with my Android running bluetooth music or Pandora. I know at work on my Cisco wireless network, I run into constant problems with the iphones and ipads not wanting to connect properly where the Android and Windows phones and tablets don't normally have issues.

Iphones are the most problematic on all the models, androids are no problem at all.

No I phone trouble here but I don't play music I use a thumb drive for that.

The album images are the issue. If removed... the ipod-mylink is responsive and fast when skipping songs or repeating them.

STEP 1
OPEN itunes>>>click on "itunes" in bar menu at top of the screen>>> click preferences>>>> click store>>>> UNclick automatically download album artwork >>>> click ok

STEP 2
in itunes>>>> click "library" found in same line with "for you browse radio store" >>>click songs >>> click on any one of the songs to highlight it>>>> click edit>>> click select all>>>>click edit>>>>click get info>>>>click edit items>>>> click on the image at the top left of the pop up window that just opened (next to "### artists selected")>>>> click delete key (a green arrow will appear on the bottom right of that image) >>>>click ok>>>> click yes

resync your ipod
