My white Chevy SS w/tinted windows

I did 15% on both front and back passenger windows. I went with 30% on the very rear window. I have done 15 on front and 30 on the back passenger windows on a previous care but it seems to look more professional to have both the front and back windows done the same. My tint guy said you can't do more than 15% on the front windows but you can go darker on the rear passenger windows and the rear window. I used 3M tint. I was told not to roll down the windows for about two days. I'm very pleased with the job done. My SS looks so much better. The photo doesn't do it justice. Thanks for the complements.

He got his in San Antonio, who are you working with? I also ordered white from don Hewlett in Georgetown, still no clue when it will arrive, I'm hoping it's been built at least, will get an update tomorrow. Funny, the only 3 I'm aware of in the Austin area getting SSs and they're all the one color none of the dealers around here ordered!
TNT44, Awesome photo. Much better than mine. You can really see how the tint brings out the white on the SS.
Whiskuz, I bougt my SS at Freedom Chevrolet in San Antonio. I had contacted that dealership about a week earlier looking for a white SS. They said they would call me when it came. They called me last Tuesday and a good friend of mine drove me up to SA the next day(Wednesday) and picked up the SS.
For you Austin guys, I had my SS tinted at "Shades of Texas" in Cedar Park. They have done a couple past vehicles for me and always did a great job. They didn't even know about the Chevy SS and was very impressed.

I ordered mine from Covert in Bastrop. They're due to get a black one with no options any day now. It was supposed to arrive on the 15th, but as of Saturday they still hadn't gotten it.
Yeah last I heard my order had been accepted, which happened on September 12th, but I haven't heard anything since.

The question that comes to mind is, do the local officials enforce the tint requirements.

Different states vary in how strict they are. My experience is that states like Florida and Arizona go easy. Texas, has become kinda picky. Below is picture of my CTS-V from the dealer I bought it from. It had 5% all around with 70% over the factory 70% on the windshield. I eventually had to remove the 5% on the passenger and driver side window and replace it with 25% which is minimum in Texas for those windows. all other windows can be limo. Of course, windshield tint is illegal in every state but I still run it.
My plan is to do similar with a black SS.

Why are u parting from the V? Just wondering as I am inbetwen a v and a ss.

Signed on mine today, tinting it Thursday and picking up Friday. They are giving me until Friday to get my G8 back to stock.

Carbon SUNTEK Brand film.

Looks like white may be popular in Texas.
I'm not sure all dealers got to choose the color or options for the units that corporate sent in first wave. At least that was what I was told by the dealer where I placed my order for a white one. They received a silver with both options on the corporate order.
