Lighter Clutch Spring Thread, Batch 4

15537 Views 141 Replies 49 Participants Last post by  SSFanBoy
Hello everyone, I wanted to make a new thread to continue this in a new thread. I do not want to take away from the previous thread so I will link it here as well.

The price will be $65 shipped.

Edit: I have decided to stock these indefinitely moving forward.

Just wanted to say thanks to SSFanBoy for this. Installed my new clutch spring today and I am thrilled. The clutch takeup was my perhaps my biggest gripe about this car, and the clutch spring fixed it 100%. Really makes the driving experience much more enjoyable. So glad I came across this.

That is fantastic to hear! It really is amazing how such a small piece can change everything.

You will need to bring your post count up to 5 or above @Casamalo ,,, log off for a few min, and when you log back on,, the "conversation" (PM) function will unlock for you! That is the requisite method to contact the OP for further information!!

OH,,, And a VERY belated welcome to the SS Forums!!

Sent a PM last week to order, but then saw that SSFanBoy hasn't signed on in a week. Anyone know if he's ok?

I received a spring about 1-1/2 weeks ago. Just a little patience perhaps. Hopefully I will find time to install this weekend.

also interested. PM'd
I am also interested in the return clutch spring! SSFanBoy do you still keep these in stock??
Welcome to the SS Forums @B.O.B_SS !!

You will need to get your post count up to 5 or above, can be replies like this or new threads created. Once you get to that milestone, log off for a few and when you log back on the "Conversation" (PM) feature will unlock for you!! Thats the best way to conduct this sort of thing away from the public side of the Forum!!

Good Luck!!

Glad to have found this thread. Would like to order 1, but don't have PM capabilities yet.

Ordered mine back in November right after putting the car up for the winter, finally got around to installing it tonight! Looking forward to the first drive!

For those curious/worried about the install, I was able to do the install just kneeling next to the car so I didn't have to try to lay on my back under the dash. Was easy enough to use the same small flat bladed screw driver I used to remove the plastic push pins to pop the ends of the spring out for removal. The new lighter spring was easy enough to install by hand. I set it in place then lined up the ends one at a time.
