Is it possible that for 2015 production will be in the U.S? and production shutting down in 2014 is to give them time to transition over?
Sorry, not a chance. :(

First - Holden is done making SSs for the year. They are not done making Commodores. Production is still ongoing at the plant.

Second - GM is not currently nor do they have any concrete plans to build SSs in the US or anywhere besides Oz for that matter. Capital equipment for new lines need to be ordered upwards of 3 years in advance and I can tell you that has not happened yet for the SS.

Yes, the 2016 Camaro will be made in the Lansing plant, the same plant that produces the ATS and CTS. Expect to see it available next year as a '16 model with a similar look to the current gen. Hopefully the SS makes it over also!

...Makes one wonder if they will be building Right hand drive Camaro's for AUSTRALIAN Sale at the above mentioned plans. Have they announced the Camaro will replace the Commodore especially in the V8 Supercars to compete with the Mustang///

It's quite possible as the Chev Export section out the back of Holdens looks bone empty today. There were a heap of cars at Outer Harbour last Sunday mostly PPV's but had a hard time getting a good look as the Queen Mary 2 was berthed at Dock 1 and it was like a circus with cars and people everywhere.
Haven't heard from my birdie yet but will see if they can find out anything for sure

Any more updates on the Holden Dealers signs being replaced with Chevrolet ..It was in the papers when I was over there at CHRISTMAS Time.... going to cost something like $250,000:00 with GM picking up the other half of the cost. no way were they going to rebadge a HOLDEN Camaro ... is what I read. Especially how everything is soon to be imported.

This is a possible option if the Holden name can't recover from local production closure, it will depend on where they move to on the sales ladder.

I'm with you, z51. With very little feedback with low production numbers, I think my15 will be the same exact car. It seems like 1/2 the 2014 SS are still in transit as the production ended. -I think it would be smart to offer an additional color choice. -Funny how GM history might repeat itself: '94-96 Impala SS to '14-16 SS?
They learned a lot importing the GTO and G8 with Pontiac. Chevy will control the flow of inventory keeping numbers low and prices high. Time will tell.

I've been told that a few 205 pilot vehicles have ventured down the line in the last few weeks with some mainly minor updates. As soon as they see a manual go down the line I will know.
I have heard a few other interesting bits of news both related to and unrelated to the Chev exports.
I think we will be lucky enough to get a RHD LS3 powered Redline toward the end of production as a limited edition. Other than that I am continually pestering on the manual issue.
