Our 2022 Martinez Seashore/Marina picnic will be held on Saturday May 14th from 10am till 2pm.

Meet in lot on west side of Harbor same as past years, 7 N Court St, Martinez, CA 94553

Same as prior years the picnic is BYO - bring your food, bring chairs, Ez-ups, hats, anything you might want. Food is available in town - Subway, grocery store, Starbucks. Unclear is the Bait Shop’s Snack Shack will be open or have available food. There are decent restrooms close by at the Harbor Master's office. If you have younger kids or grandkids there is a playground ~10min walk from where we'll be. There are flat walking paths around the edge of the waterfront and around the harbor.


Only three ground rules,
1) No exhibitions of speed, no burnouts, donuts, or any side show antics. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy - anyone performing these acts will be asked to immediately vacate the area. Failure to comply will result in a report to Martinez PD.
2) If you chose to bring adult beverages please enjoy them in the picnic area, not in the parking lot.
3) This is a family friendly park so be RESPECTFUL at all times, and have fun !

Went to start it today and the battery barely turned her over. All kinds of (hopefully bogus) fault messages pooped up in the display. My Fluke meter read 11.62 volts - Ruh roh! . . . time to get a new battery. Unfortunately, I've got plans already this evening, so I'll be lucky to pick one up, install it, and give her a bath before tomorrow morning. She may show up as a dirty girl.

Smallest turnout in all the years we have met, just 23 cars total. 1 PPV, 2 GTO's, 2 G8's, and 18 SS's. Weather was great, sunny and a perfect breeze off the bay. Sadly no car carriers unloading at Point Benecia this year, heck they would have been Toy-o-let's or Kia's anyways.

.. on that note; when me and my son took a walk along the water front, he found a bunch of burned wood - most likely from the dock that caught fire not too long ago. 😬
