Hey z51vett, I know I've asked you this before, but Assembly plant code 3450/3500 means that the car has been built??? Would my dealer be able to tell me this code on my order or is this info private to only a few?? You are in Georgia??? I think this info would really, really help all of us that got our cars ordered early. Thank you in advance!!!

Hey z51Vett---Did your dealer give you any order number or series of letters designating your build stats??? My dealer gave me a series of five letters about two and a half weeks after I ordered. And I did not order until he got his "allocation". That was the end of June. But I still do not have any other way of identifying my build.

Yes dealers get a weekly print out that will have the codes on it. I order my car in April 2012 I had to wait till they could place order in system just like everyone else. My dealers GM is on a board of dealers with GM I knew about car for 2 years just waiting to order when he said it was a go I gave them my money and waited. Order #'s are letters and numbers. Not all dealers will get allocation for this car just like the c7 vett. Dominator find out how many he has allocated for his dealer ship mine has a fair amount for what they say is # to built.
My order was placed the very first day of ordering. Sorry for late reply been out and about.

Answer to all questions

Yes orders Have #'s and letters dealers get weekly printout with this info.
Dominator you need to ask what was there allocation total. Not all dealers will be able to order this car.
I knew about the car for 2 years my dealers GM is on a board with others and General Motors. He confirmed the car in April 2012 I put a deposit on it then. When they had the info I picked out color and sunroof order went in first day of ordering.
Yes I live in Atlanta Ga. area from N.C. been here since early 70's.
Some dealers may not understand the assy lingo.

Thanks Doug. My dealer has not received the allocation yet but said they were only getting a few, maybe 4 or 5 and one of them is for me.
They should already have the allocation I would think my dealer is getting I think 5 order 3 already.
If they only produce 3500 or so not all dealers are getting cars. something like 4000 chev dealers USA. Now if we are talking 15000 or so yeah they may get a few each.

I know I've posted this on another thread but since you're talking about allocations: all 4 Austin TX area Chevy dealers were able to confirm they were getting their allocations, how many (mostly 2 each but all offered to order one the way I want it), color, and sunroof or not. They still cannot tell me when they're getting them. I ordered one from a dealer, put a refundable $500 deposit down and will negotiate price etc once they get more details and an ETA. So far they all told me they'd stick with MSRP, but I will try to get it a little closer to invoice, looks like a 3k spread based on the sheet another member posted recetly (thanks for that). I did not get any order numbers/letters yet, but did not ask. Like Tom Petty says, the waiting is the hardest part.

Built on Friday at 10 something don't know if that's your time or ours. Hoping to make the first ship out. Really need the car for vacation with the little ones.

Cars were still there at Outer Harbour, Tuesday. There is another ship due in Thursday (was supposed to be Wednesday).
When I drove past there wer people wandering around where all the Chev's were. All bthe bonnets were lifted as far as I could tell, I was thinking a final inspection/check? And as I was driving home I saw truck load of PPV's. Looks like they are gonna ship a big batch as they are building 50 SS per day (confirmed by Asylum) not sure how many PPV but there were a considerable amount of SS sedans all parked under shade cloth. Guessing 750 at least not counting Caprice.
They are definitely NA cars as Middle East build I am led to believe haven't started for SWB models. If and when they start they will likely be called Lumina.

There must be 250 - 300 PPVs sitting in the production yard at Elizabeth and close to or about 100 Chevy SS. Car transporters visiting infrequently as well. Wish I was on the delivery end of one of those SS.
Took a pic with the mobile. Silver Red and Black seem to be the only colours lining up. Make mine red thanks. Especially at that price!!!!!!!

I can see them selling a lot of red but playing it safe they might just end up selling the majority in black. Red is on fire though.
