STELLAR!!!

Give us a heads up on the pink spring spacers and rear rotor protectors please please. I know you are going to watch them like a hawk do the PDI !

:rock::rock:
No problem the guy had it on drive up lift pulled rotor protectors off without removing wheels and the spacers too they are red not pink.
Will be requesting new rear rotors the painted part has surface rust on it.
He and I went for test drive he drove and I filled tank with Shell hi test.
Love the seats and all the goodies rode rough till we dropped tire pressure to 39 to allow for hot tires needs 36. Need bed been long day got home at 5 pm or so. Finished washing it at 8 now for wax tomorrow using C Magic system not a wax but a polymer put it on use detail spray on it after you finish putting it on to remove the dried polymer. They use this at the Corvette museum.

Enjoy her in good health!

Thanks for answering.

I started a thread for initial problems that now Chevrolet Customer Care is monitoring here:

http://www.ssforums.com/forum/warranty-service-issues/4658-initial-problems-thread.html

When you get a chance please post the rusted rear rotor problem there.

PDI photos

This looks like a good thread to post PDI photos--this is not Doug's, it's from a week ago at the local dealer in Canton GA, Bill Holt Chevrolet--same series of photos taken that I posted the MIA deflectors from. Same car as Doug's as far as color and options.

First of two posts to get all 20 pictures into the report--one interesting observation is, as already mentioned by Doug, just how dusty the car was, as you can see under the hood the engine cover is heavily dusted, with hand prints showing, and there was quite a bit of fine dust especially over the front of the car.

1. Trunk lid with protective cover
2. Roof with protective cover
3. Shipping tags on RR door glass
4. RR wheel with protective cover in place
5. RR rotor with cover removed, PBR logo visible
6. Window sticker
7. Hood with protective cover
8. Windshield - shipping destination sticker
9. Front wheel
10. Engine

More PDI photos

This series includes exterior, interior, and some undercar pictures.

Some of these pictures I should have increased the background light before posting--too dark, some details hidden.

My obsession with sway bars has to do with what components can be used on my PPV to improve it's performance or handling characteristics. Factory bars for the SS are 26mm front and 28mm rear--that's significantly different from 2011-2013 PPV, with 24mm front and 16mm rear bars. The new (2014) PPV uses the same 26mm front bar as SS, and a 20mm bar that was previously used on the G8 GXP (and is VERY expensive).

Hoping to make the SS rear bar work on my PPV. Research in progress!

11. Rear dome - individual spots come only with sunroof
12. The business end
13. Rear sway bar
14. More rear sway bar
15. Lip under front fascia
16. Front knuckle - aluminum, new for 2014
17. Front control arm - also new for 2014
18. More rear sway bar
19. Even more rear sway bar
20. Tag on differential

Thank you Bill for the photos this is only part of the stuff I removed. More plastic on the inside and stickers. Rubbing alcohol removes the sticky stuff from stickers I saved it all. I notice no dirty rotors on this car maybe its the rail dust that won't come off instead of rust stains. Did you get a glimpse of the mirrors to see if they were scratched?
