Intake and throttle body

Hello all. I was planning on supercharging my 17 SS but I think I’m just gonna update my intake. I’d like a fast 103 and a new throttle body. What suggestions do y’all have and what else needs to be done if I upgrade the intake? Thanks y’all.

Air in, air out. A set of long tubes and a good tune will maximize the benefits seen from the swap.

Most articles on side by side testing I've read, show most aftermarket intakes benefit from larger TB. Do your homework on CAI, I couldn't locate an off the shelf option for 102mm for our cars.

Don't expect much in the way of gains from the intake if you don't have a lot of other mods like headers, cam, heads, etc. If it's mostly stock, you likely won't gain enough to even notice it unless your butt dyno is very well tuned. The better throttle response can be well worth it though. I'm just running a ported stock throttle body and ported, rod-modded stock intake, and the throttle response is incredible compared to stock. You think about touching the gas pedal and the engine responds with no delay.

I have headers and straight pipes but I’m gonna get a cam. I’d like a BTR stage 3. Heard one on a 5.7 truck the other day and it sold me from the stage 2. I know I have to do the torque converter but I think I’d would be worth it with the intake.

So I got the 102 intake. I’ve heard like 7 different things when it comes to upgrading the rest. I want to get the matching throttle body. Now will I need a drive by wire or auto throttle body? And what the hell is TPS/IAC. It’s on the FAST website but I can’t find an explanation anywhere. Also I’ve heard I don’t have to upgrade the injectors but that doesn’t make sense to me soooo what’s the best route to go with the SS? I just need someone to lay it all out. No options on this or that just you need this, this, and this. Done. Haha

Drive by wire is what you need, some of the discussion I found complicates things as well. TPS is in the servo on throttle body. IAC is the peddle assembly. Stick with Gen IV LS3 when searching and you should be safe.
Nick Williams, Granetelli, and BBK, should offer search results. I'm gonna go with a ported rod mod, I think. PM me if interested in a few bucks on a lend lease deal on your intake. After swap, I return mine back to you. I'm sort of overdoing spares and don't really want an intake in my parts bin.
