No, it isn't true that you'll get 10-15 hp from changing plug wires.

The best ones out there are Magnacore and 2nd best are MSD wires.

I changed to MSD wires and Iridium spark plugs on my Firehawk when I had it, and my current Silverado, no apparent gain in power. Changed to Magnacore on my Turbo RX7 when I had it, no change. Changed to a whole MSD distributor, coil and wires on my 454 and noticed only a smoother idle.

That's it.

no... the only ones i every recalled being lifetime were jacobs.


but really nothing is lifetime... company goes out of business there is no lifetime.

a lot of companies give a 'lifetime warranty' but your first replacement is your only replacement ... not like the old JCPenny lifetime batteries which believe it or not some people are STILL getting free replacements for (after 30+ years) from their local company owned Firestone stores!

The factory plugs/wires are all you need. Look at legitimate performance shops and see how many of them change plugs/coils/wires in their build sheets.

don't be one of those people whom get suckered into some video "proving" it adds anything. ok maybe some superchager... but a test for wires? only wires? really? even IF it gave 11 to 15 hp your not going to feel it. your only fooling yourself.

given i love the way some of these aftermarket wires look and even some of the coilpacks look really nice too **** i have them on my other car. but with the LS.... people run 9's with stock coil packs and wires. this isn't some old 350 chevy now.

To me they are like squirrel tails and 2 speed pillows from the 60's. They are for looks or attention getters. I had a friend who bought all this chrome stuff for his engine and so forth in 67 vett coupe I had a 67 also but no gimcracks on it he wanted to race he lost. 411 gears are way better than goodies that look good.

and for the record this set up here on my car adds another 200 RWHP!

but for the record just because it looks all shiny doesn't mean it is slow by all means!

do note the "BLUE" Spark Plug Wire Boots!

Man, I'm tellin' you...I put some "Red" MSD wires on my Firehawk, didn't feel a thing. I put some 4.10 gears in it...GREAT SCOTT!!!...what a difference! That made a Beast out of it!

My hawk has 4.10 gears too. I love them. Kinda wish the Strange S60 didnt rob so much power though...
