That's great you got a test drive! I agree, the interior & sound are something else.

Hey Willy,Me, too! I work here at a Chevy dealer and I can't even get a test drive!
I, too, dream of that exhaust sound!
I'm going to have to go to another dealer and string them along so's I can get me a test drive.
Well, I finally got to test drive one, I e-mail 3 dealers from the factory website and my own dealer called me. I told him that I worked there and was planning to buy one in a few months, he said that it was cool and went and got the keys.Hey Willy,
Keep us posted on how your test drive goes!
The SS is absolutely amazing, I do wish I had her in my garage.
What do you mean by string along? You're not going to buy one? Once you get behind that wheel, I think that the "stringing along" will end.Good luck, and I am excited to hear your impressions.
Enjoy,

Very true. When I was looking for a Camaro when the fifth gen came out my wife spotted a synergy green one and loved it. At the time it was only available with a V6 package so I continued to look for others but then heard the color was being offered on SS's so I had Tom Henry Chevrolet put some pearl white stripes on a synergy green SS. It would probably have been the last color I chose but her loving the color made the purchase much easier (but the color grew on me quickly)!!Keeping the wife happy is most important.

I must say it does sound and drive great! I don't know why anyone would want to put an aftermarket exhaust on it when it sounds so perfect! It's tighter than I remember my V was. It doesn't feel as big as that or my current Q45. I would say that it drives most similar to an SS Camaro than anything else. It's just the way it should be, tight but nice. It does roar when pushed hard and accelerates strong and shifts nice. Very responsive low and mid-range.
I can hardly wait!
Oh, the wife has decided that we're getting a Red one, since we have never had a Red car before.
Check with Chevrolet Customer Service; they are the folks that advised me the cutoff for ordering a 2014 was next week. I have a couple of inquiries in however suspect SORP (start of regular production) is a ways off. What month does the model year change from 14 to 15? I've seen a few guys ask on here. Cheers
Well if you are thinking about a manual you better hope it DOES NOT have HSA or has a way to turn it off (unlikely because GM's lawyers consider it a safety thing) and you will be disappointed and complaining.Assuming as 5 month wait time I guess arouind the middle of the year. I am hearing strong rumours for a manual in the 2015 for the SS. That the engineering is done.
Hill start assist ? Could be interesting with the electric park brakeWell if you are thinking about a manual you better hope it DOES NOT have HSA or has a way to turn it off (unlikely because GM's lawyers consider it a safety thing) and you will be disappointed and complaining.
The Camaro guys figured a way to get around it in the pre '14s but you gotta do a bit of work to replace the part!
I think the E-Brake disengages when the clutch engages as part of the VF set up on the manual.
Any Aussie members who have a manual trans can confirm or correct me please?
I think it ties into the original problem they were having with the Camaros. Which was a delay in the release of the brake when the clutch was engaging. Apparently sometimes as long as 2 to 3 seconds.yep exactly what you described.
why would this be an issue CB750?
Yes the delay on the camaro which has an old fashioned cable hand brake no electric one! HSA uses the service brakes on the Camaro and really is poor and cannot be turned off like other makes let you.I think it ties into the original problem they were having with the Camaros. So maybe the ebrake would help fix that delay problem.Yes the delay on the camaro which has an old fashioned cable hand brake no electric one! HSA uses the service brakes on the Camaro and really is poor and cannot be turned off like other makes let you.
