I hope the rumors swirling that the Camaro will soon be going to the lightweight platform from the Caddy ATS are true.
A lighter (smaller?) Camaro can't come soon enough.

I think a Camaro platform change will help differentiate the SS Sedan and improve value for both cars.

The Camaro is overweight and offers poor interior space and visibility, but I don't believe the SS offers enough of a feature added benefit for Camaro owners to trade/add a SS Sedan.

I, along with many other educate buyers who are familiar with GM's history of improving/discontinuing brand new products, will be skipping the first year(s) of the SS Performance Sedan as we wait for a LT1, manual/DCT transmissions, and all wheel drive.

I don't know how well a "smaller camaro" will fly with the hardcore Chevy guys, but I guess as long as it doesn't turn out to be like a Cobalt everyone will be happy hahaha.

I always felt the Camaro was a pig and that it could shed some weight. Maybe this will boost it's power to weight ratio, maybe even allow them to include a hybrid model.

I don't think you'll hear any complaining from the Chevy guys. Moving to the new platform will give the Camaro a much needed diet.

I am worry if new Camaro use lightweight platform from the Caddy ATS , will they put in I-4 Turbocharged, not V8 anymore?

Camaro is a bit heavy but it seem doing real great on track!
Chevy does some crazy things but not offering a V8 for the next gen isn't going to be one of them. They could certainly add a small turbo to the lineup but you'll still see a V8 in the next gen.
