Since GM decided not to include it, there are a couple good DIY threads on the G8 boards for this. I would hope the SS would be pretty much the same. One of the forum members did a a setup for my G8 and it works great.
Not offhand, but you can search for Snakey on the G8 forums. And search Homelink as well. What did they do. Do you have any links.
That would be great. ThanksI added homelink module to my visor but did not take pictures. purchased the homelink from Ebay for 25.00 wired it to the light in the visor. Had to remove (dremel) some of the plastic to get it installed.. Will get pictures of the completed install. Roger

Ha, I think we all areMaybe I'm being too simple but I just use my regular garage opener![]()
No Holdens have ever had Homelink. Can't speak for other cars but it is a feature I had never heard of untill joining this forum.Ha, I think we all arethe point is the cost of the car for the missing feature that is on cheaper cars.
I wonder of any of the Holden cars have home link. That could be the reason it isn't in the SS.

You can't even find/buy homelink items on eBay Aus. While it would be cool to have, so the fob can be removed from the keys, I'm not paying a couple of hundred for an after market rear view mirror and then suffering the ball ache of trying to install it!No Holdens have ever had Homelink. I think it is a cool feature though.
Yahh,,I agree it really is much easier to just put a regular opener in. I have had so many cars with this visor installed (home link) that I just like the visor remote concept. I even installed one on the Caprice (1995) , lol , RogerMaybe I'm being too simple but I just use my regular garage opener![]()
I plan to use mine too, since we live in a Condo Complex and have to walk to the garage anyway with a garge opener in hand and yet, I have one in my Silverado and it does't even go in the garage.Yahh,,I agree it really is much easier to just put a regular opener in.
