Thats all folks, I will not be getting anymore keys unless i had enough people put in a small deposit to get another batch. It seems I have reached the majority of the people that want to do this.
Getting a Holden key for our cars here was more challenging than I thought. Buying a new Holden fob from Australia is great but we cannot use them as they are. You have to basically perform Option 1 on them below.
These do not have the same button layout as our cars. But these will work with any car that has a similar key style (ours).
The Holden emblem does not have a part number by itself, so we have to get a complete key.
You have two options listed below, or here is a video explaining the two:
(I highly suggest option 2 having done both)
1: You can cut the top section off this and snap/glue it onto your back half and board, then you’ll have a Holden key.
2: Either that or just buy a Buick key fob ($35 new) and steal the badge from these and simply glue this in where the Buick logo is. Then program and go. I can send you the link to the oem key and programming the key. This is by far the easiest and least invasive way to getting a new Holden key.
A Holden key is $268 last time I checked.
You’d be into a new Holden key worst case for ~$100
Mint fobs are $60 shipped from 85750, if I get any worn keys, those will be $35.
