Filled with jealously and happiness for one of our members today who is the first to go the Hennessy route, I couldn't help but notice they have been very hard at work.

Impressive...

*No public ET for HPE1000 trim*

Could possibly be fairly deep into the ten's with tire and one heck of a wheel-man.

He doesn't have the "Hook Up", or maybe they're trying to keep from putting a cage in it. You know if you run 10.99 or faster at any strip, the car has to have a cage in it.

All of the prices from Hennessey are completely absurd. Like it has been mentioned a many of times....you can go and buy the parts yourself then have another reputable shop in your area install it and be good to go for a LOT less. IDGAF if it comes with a warranty, it's only a 1 year warranty then it's all yours after that.

$80k for 1000hp and all it seems is a drop in a 427 with TT, supporting mods and a upgraded trans.....$80k? Right......

Woops. Must of been still breaking in the SS during that post >.<

"12k for HPE600 and 80k for the HPE1000 twin turbo."

80k for the HPE1000 package? Confirmed?
Is that above the cost of the SS? If so that's kind of stout. LS7's are around 15000 stock so the price for all that goodies and block maybe not be to bad.

1,000 HP and 11:84?????? My 2011 GT Mustang with CAI, exhaust, tune and drive line mods ran best of 11:63 @117 at National trails and was consistent high 11s for a fraction of what that upgrade cost?? I would expect at least mid 10s @135 with that power?

I am not impressed with Hennessey's time at all..."1,000 HP and 11:84??????"...That kind of power even with the weight of the SS should be in the high 10's...Whether the car is hooking good or not. I would love to know what tires he was on with that time?

Hennessey has more than enough money to Rent the track when ever he wants, and not worry about what ET he runs...:2cents:

Sometimes I can't tell when you guys are joking.
The 11.84 time was what the HPE600 ran at 117 mph.

What is the time for the HPE1000?
I haven't seen anything on that yet!
I'm not so sure they've built one yet. Look at this quote...
At the other end of the spectrum, Hennessey’s HPE1000 package adds a custom twin-turbocharger setup, 7.0-liter LSX V-8 engine and a host of other modifications to help liberate 1,000 horsepower.

I just came across this on eBay, its the car from all the videos, Car#1 !!
Chevrolet Other 4 Door Sedan | eBay
Hmmm. I wonder why our furum member SuperSleeper describes his as, "2014 SS ~600rwhp Hennessey #01 SoCal". Also strange that he refers to it as 600rwhp when, to the best of my knowledge, the HPE600 is 600 engine HP. His is silver so it's not the same car.
