I like how it shows the components used to achieve each result. I've never really looked into modifying any of my cars before, so I thought this was interesting. I'm watching what everyone in the forum does to their cars and the recommendations they make. I'll probably put together a list of things I want to check out for later this year.

Hennessey is incredibly expensive. If you've got the money go for it though. I've seen there stuff in youtube videos and it is amazing what they can do.

When I spoke to Hennessey about the packages they told me they would be comparable in cost to the Camaro packages. The Hennessey HPE475 packaged runs just short of $7k installed. Just seems a little pricey for a 60hp increase even with the badging and floor mats and so on. You can order it through the mail and install yourself for just short of $5k. I can go to Livernois and get a more complete package minus the floor mats and badges for just under $3k and install it myself. Even if they charge $2k to install it im on par with what Hennessey wants for just the package and no labor. I know Hennessey is a big name in the industry but I am really thinking that Livernois is going to get my business as long as they hurry up.... You hear that Andy?

SLP is about 30 minutes away from me, does anyone have experience with their pricing? I sent them an email earlier asking if they had any options for the SS and they said they would contact me.

SLP is not a bad company but they are fairly steep on pricing when there are other name brands that specialize in those areas that you can get items from at comparable cost. A prime example is headers. I know that SLP is usually between $1k and $1500 for headers. You can go to Kooks for that price. I am not saying that the SLP headers are no good by any means, but if I am going to spend that kind of scratch I want it to be with a company that specializes their talents on that specific area.

You might be able to loan SLP your car for R&D and get some free parts out of it though....

I hear you loud and clear I'm over here toe tapping waiting for ours to reach the shop

I can't see the overall cost varying much compared to our G8 packages. There might be some slight changes of course, but you can do a world of good to a G8 with $6k, and I expect the same for the SS to be true.

Well Andy if you would start throwing in a 3 year 36k mile warranty out of the kindness of your heart then there would be no question.... oh, dont forget the floor mats and badging as well....

Hennessy is expensive but it seems like their's a lot of R&D that goes into their stuff.

We do have a standard 1-year warranty with all of our builds, this is a workmanship warranty (just like everyone else in the industry), take note that no one says "powertrain" warranty, or "vehicle warranty" on their warranties (this isn't singling any company out, it's just an industry-wide truth). If it's truly something with workmanship that went wrong, it would happen in way less than 1-year. We do offer some packages with powertrain warranties, but there are usually only a handful as most people do not elect for that option.

With all of that said, we also aren't the type of company that would tell someone at 1-year and 1-week that they're "off warranty" either. Our reputation is not worth anything like that.
