Hi everyone, we bought our SS in November and have been itching to mod it since. So far we have got the wheels ordered and have spoken to several vendors about exhaust, intake, supercharger, etc. If there is anyone else in Texas, let me know. I know that we bought the first SS in Texas according to the GM reps at the SA international auto showcase, and hopefully one of only a handful of the Mystic Green units with sunroof option.

Congrats, I think there might be at least one or two others on here with a car from Texas, it's hard to keep track sometimes.
I think the Mystic Green is a more upscale appearance and really grows on you.
Plenty of great members here with good knowledge

I'm taking it you bought the one from Gunn? I figured that one would have gotten snapped up quickly. Sharp ride and glad it went to an enthusiast!

Thanks for the hospitality, Gents!

I'm also from San Antonio and stopped by to look at the Mystic Green model OP bought. Sharp color for sure!

I've sat in one of these, but haven't test driven yet, however having owned a '04 GTO 6M (original owner), and a '09 G8 GT, I can say that I'm familiar with Holden platform.

That said, I'm now in a '01 BMW 540i 6-speed - a car that I lusted after when I bought my GTO. Frankly, the manual makes the difference to me, however the ownership experience that comes with a maintaining a 12 year-old BMW - even one as good as the E39 chassis- can be unsettling so a new SS looks mighty tempting!

Yup, I sure did buy the one from Gunn, we are also looking to pick up the silver one as well for a more daily driver. Mods were already being planned months prior to purchasing the Mystic Green one. I dont think the guys at Gunn really took us seriously about purchasing it and more less pissed me off when they were letting others test drive it and play with it after we had already submitted our paperwork (couldn't pick it up because I was in Houston for work) and had to wait until Wednesday to pick it up.

Welcome and congrats. I also stop by Gunn and checked that car out when I was in town for the F1 race in Austin. Great color but I didn't drive it. I posted about it too. You can stick a Maggie 2300 and 3" pulley and have just over 500rwhp easy. I'll be waiting to hear about your mods.

Actually, I may be mistaken and those could be 10 wide on the rear. I'll have to look at what size was actually ordered for the rear. Either 9.5 or 10 though. They BARELY fit the wheel well yet are much fatter off the disc than stock.

I am going to get with Paul about getting possible center caps to fit after I get the measurement from them. I did another 70+ hours in Houston this week and am dead tired. If I can't get any from down south, i will have some made with the Holden logo.

The front wheels however have come off the brakes a bit, and i do like that seeing as how the stock wheels are around 3/16" off the brembos. The new ones are around 5/8" off the brakes. It definitely has the proper stance now though.
