Joined here to get the latest news about the SS.

I own a 2-door SS right now.
I love the car but I'm looking for something a little bigger with 4 doors, except I still want the performance of the Camaro.

Before the Camaro I had 2 94-96 Caprice wagons with Impala SS wheels and other stuff.
As long as the SS isn't too expensive, I'm pretty sure it will be my next car. I'm also considering a used CTS or a Caprice PPV.

Well, I went out and bought a 2011 Caprice PPV 9C3 (detective).

NICE. :)
Congrats. :)
Great car and color.:)
Please post some more pics of your new ride, including the interior.

I could have had one at a east coast manufacturer sale for $18k 2 months ago. I just wanted something a little smaller and lighter (SS Sedan).
How much did you spend with fees inc. and how did you get around the LE only red tape ????

Good luck with it. :)

Thanks, I found the car on AutoShopper and there's a bunch on there.
As long as it says "used" then a civilian can buy it.
I have more pictures on my Picassa page.

I got mine for $26,000 and it has 8000 miles on it.
And the Caprice is only 8" longer than the G8 and 4" longer wheelbase.
I was surprised the car wasn't bigger when I first saw it in person.
It handles like a much smaller car.
The SS will be faster because of the LS3 and slightly lighter, but I'm very happy with it.

Woahhh congrats on picking up this beats!

Did you end up buying it used? Cause I believe when they're sold brand new it's only to law enforcement agencies and no one else.
Yep, can only get used ones, but some have very low mileage.
Considering these cars are $32,000 new.
It's great that these cars can be had for the mid $20's with only a few miles on them.
Most have not seen police duty.

Can't go wrong with getting one of these for the mi $20k's.

Sure beats paying what the SS is rumored to sell for, which is double that.

All I would really do to the Caprice is add some better looking, sporty wheels and get some custom OEM looking interior work done just to pretty it up a bit.

That's why I bought it and didn't wait for the SS.
Well, that and the bigger back seat.
I have chrome Camaro SS wheels to go on it when it gets warmer.
I really like the interior on these cars.

I'm going to assume these Camaro SS wheels....

which would look awesome.

I wonder if these Caprice PPV's will get as popular as the P71 Crown Victoria

As far as aftermarket wheels, CCW 505a..... accept no substitute.

You must be loaded. 505a's in a 19" staggered set up will be pushing $3000!...and then there are tires...

Awesome wheels for sure, anything CCW makes is good stuff.

That's why the first sentence of my post was this:

Will C5 or C6 Corvette wheels fit on the PPV, G8, and SS Sedan ????

CCW's 505a were $2,400 the last time I checked.
Worth every penny.

They fit, but I wouldn't daily drive on them. Perfectly acceptable for drag passes, but the bolt circles are different (5x120.65mm C5/C6 vs. 5x120mm G8/SS)
