Hey all, traded in my Speed3 for a red SS on Thursday. Was getting tired of a small engine screaming it's head off just to make any power.

At some point when I have the time I plan on throwing the GMPP hot cam in. Other then that it will remain stock. The stock exhaust note is already really good on this car IMO.

Yes. Every car from every manufacturer goes to California first, and then is shipped back out to Hawaii. It's stupid, but it makes sense.

I had actually wanted the Green color but the dealer here had a red one that was sitting in their showroom for a couple of months so I opted to take the red one and save a couple grand. By saving some money I mean I got it at MSRP since Hawaii dealers jack up the prices on everything. All three chevy dealers here on Oahu have the SS marked up to $56k, thank **** the red one was sitting on the showroom floor for a couple months.

Congrats mchart & enjoy that new SS! Lived on Oahu years ago & your pic brought back memories of the rain (liquid sunshine). Went to school in Manoa & an umbrella was part of my survival kit. Those parking blocks still make me nervous.

I went down to look at that car last month. They wanted $5K over sticker. I also wanted the Mystic Green and in fact they just got one in but they said all of the SS's would be subject to the markup.

I ended up buying a silver one from Servco in Waipahu since it's their policy to never charge a markup. I'm definitely loving this car!!!!

I was eyeing that silver one up at Servco for that reason, but you got it before me.

I was able to talk them down to MSRP on the red one since it had been sitting there for so long.

I hope Servco gets more in because the mark up at either JN/Cutter is insane.

at least it isn't an SS MInnow! You'll need sunglasses with that bright red and all that sunshine but I am guessing you are used to that! I think you will get a lot of thumbs up from visiting Aussies too.
