Went by my dealer today and they said they had already put in an order for one, not sold. However he did say that a guy that works there who has a Camaro SS "might" buy it. Silver with both options.

He was kinda disappointed b/c it was silver. I told him I was too. Even though I like my G8 in silver I really don't think it suits the SS very well and if I were to ever get one it would be in either Red or White.

Excellent! I would get Fantale Orange if it were an option, so Red Hot 2 would be the color I would order as well.

Ask him how much he want's over dealer invoice.
The Dealer Invoice price is the magic number that I'm waiting for.
Well, I know he would sell it to me for invoice(just don't know what he would do to me on the trade). He has 2 ZL1's on the showroom floor that he is trying to sell for invoice.

Something I discussed with him yesterday was how pissed I am that dealerships, like Hendrick owned Dealers for example, will probably put a 10k Market Adjustment on it.

Only problem with my dealer is he's unsure if they will be able to order another one. Not sure if he doesn't know and needs to ask or if GM is only allotting dealers but so many cars. I thought this was a "if you want it, you order and we'll build it" type of thing. Can't see why GM would turn down an order.

Right now I'm waiting it out to see if they make any changes with the '15 model. Also want to see what the new Mustang looks like. If I get something new to replace the G8 it will be one or the other.

TT....I'm glad you mentioned, "you can usually get the new car dealer to process the sales transaction of your used car to a third party so that they can apply the sales tax benefit towards the new purchase."
Although I had this happen to me, as the third party, I never thought about asking a dealer if they would do it when I buy new from them. That would save me over $1,000 in sales tax.
