When I accelerate hard or decelerate hard there is a noise that comes from the passenger side of the car. It sounds like something is sliding or rolling, maybe in the front or rear door. I thought it might be something in the seat belt mechanism to lock the passenger belt, but I do not hear any similar noise from the driver side. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this or might know what this is.

Haven't heard anything in my car, and not sure what you have going. Good luck!

Not that one.

Gas sloshing faintly ... yes.

First time turning out of drive each day steering column harnass rub sound but only first turn or two.

Occasional minor random front strut bushing noise.

Occasional minor rear suspension thunk backing out driveway over 1" high cut only once in a while.

Hey my Yukons and Enclave have their fair share of minor no problem nothing wrong noises.

BUT I do have this loud backfiring thru the exhaust ... I think the timing is WAY off because multiple people have actually asked me if something is wrong with the engine and/or mufflers!

How about pass seat belt swing and touching door panel.

Yep, heard that noise and drove me crazy til I saw the seat belt swinging and hitting the door panel. The 'rolling object' noise reminds me of my brother-in-laws new in 1977 Monte Carlo. He had this noise coming from the rear seat area like something rolling around. So we pulled the lower cushion and there it was---an empty can of Van Camps Pork and Beans with the spoon. Must have been lunch break when the seat was installed.

I bought one from the first shipment of SS's back in October and I am so disgusted with it because it creeks (dashboard/passenger) and rattles (back/passenger door, B pillar/drivers side) so awfully much that it is taking all of the fun out of having a new car. I'm about ready to call the GM buyback department but before I do i will take it in again and leave the car until they find and fix it.

I liked the passenger seat belt idea because in my mind that seemed to be the kind of noise this is, metal against plastic, plastic against plastic. But last night with my wife in the car I could still make the noise happen, and after I pointed it out she heard it too. But she didn't think it was coming from her door, more from the middle of the car. Saturday I am going to get to the bottom of this. I'll take everything out of the glove box and center console one by one till we find it! Thanks everyone for the ideas.

Found it!

I found the source of my noise. Hate to admit it but this one is all my fault. I put my garage door opener in the little storage tray that pops down from the roof. Under high enough accel and decel it would move around enough to make a noise. I used some Velcro to hold it in place and the noise is gone.

OOPS forgot ... randomly it feels like the butt heater grid/seat frame just moves a TINY bit.
+4 here. It's so subtle and small I didn't wanna bother the techs in my service dept where I work. It definitely feels like the seat bottom cushion, but doesn't feel like seat bracket bolts are loose.

People on the commodore forum are saying the same and it's becoming more prevalent. Mine might be getting a bit more frequent or I'm just noticing it more since I'm driving it now that the snows is over. It's just a tiny movement; if I rock around in the seat I can't duplicate it ... random and whenever it feels like it ....

Seat Noise in my new SS

Passenger seat might be lose on rails, I think I heard it a few times when driving alone.
When I am driving there is no noise but when I slow down to turn right or left there is a crack or a pop sound from the driver seat. Right under my butt.
It sounds like plastic popping. If you take your hand and push up and down with weight on the seats you will hear a cracking sound.I called the head of service at Rick Hendrick chevy in Duluth GA and he said he can fix it. I will be taking it in next Monday as I will be out of town this week.Sounds like something stick and coming lose (crunch crackle pop).
