Hey all, I am a Brit living in Houston and a proud owner of a white SS with sunroof and spare wheel. This is my first rear driver with such power and I am loving it. Being from Europe, the choice of cars are very different to here and I have owned some real oddities and some icons too - my favorite being my old 1994 Lancia Delta Integrale.

The reason I bought this car was I missed a connection with every car I owned since the Integrale - and now I have rekindled such a spark!

I was fortunate enough to negotiate a 'deal' on my SS of $500 discount. It took 2 weeks and many visits to Lone Star Chevrolet but I got what I wanted in the end. And those guys at Lone Star are awesome. I cannot recommend them high enough.

I check out this forum everyday - for fun and for information. And I look forward to being part of the community!

I sat in that car, if it was the one sitting in the showroom.

Congrats on the purchase!
I saw it off the trailer and straight into the shop for PDI. 2 hours later it was in my hands so not mine. But glad you sat in one similar. Did they let you fire it up in the showroom? It also looks like you have a CTS-V? Nice car. Are you looking to upgrade?

Yep, I had them fire it up in the showroom. I like the sound. Not too obnoxious and yet not too quiet.

My CTS-V is really too small for my needs. I didn't really realize that when I traded my G8 GXP for it since all I was focused on was the massive HP increase.

I am waiting for the LSA powered SS

Welcome HoustonSS nice story I was not as lucky as you but mine was coming off truck. I had called my buddy out of the blue and he said hey guess what they are unloading your car. I got there within the hour and drove with the PDI guy to fill tank up and watch them start to pull rotor covers off and spring spacers.
